Weston Park Water Saving Scheme

Glacier Filtration were engaged to work with the Consulting Engineer to provide a system that would save thousands of litres of potable water every week, which went through a water play park for children and drained straight into Lake Burley Griffin in Yarralumla ACT. Glacier Filtration designed a collection pump station, it was installed with a Rotorflush Filterpump, which screened and pumped the water through deep bed media filtration and carbon, UV disinfection and dosed it with chlorine for some residual effect. The mains water supply then became a top up only, as the water was recycled and reticulated through the play park which in turn has saved mega litres of good potable water. tams
