Yallakool - Water Polishing Plant

Glacier Filtration supplied a prepackaged Polishing and Filtering system for South Burnett Regional Council's Yallakool Caravan Park in QLD. The Yallakool Caravan Park on the banks of the Bjelke-Petersen Dam draws its water supply from a bore, the bore water was being passed through an iron oxidising and settling process before being discharged into a reservoir from which the potable water for the park is drawn. After the oxidising and settling process there was still concentrations of heavy metals in the bore water, Glacier designed a pre-packaged skid-mounted Polishing & Filtering system capable of the required flow rate of 2L/S and utilised our new Polyamide PA1 Media Filtration Vessels to remove the stray oxidised particles and solids, between the settler and the reservoir to render the water safe for potable use. This skid-mounted system was delivered onsite to the client, forked off the truck and into position, connected to source water and outlet pipes and was operating shortly after. s-burnett
