At Glacier Filtration, we take pride in delivering our specialised vessels fully assembled with lateral collectors, nozzles and distributors, whether our customers opt for a standard or customised solution, they are designed to seamlessly connect to the pipework.
We take the time to thoroughly understand our customer’s project, through our meticulous seven step process, allowing the option of customising the vessels to meet the project requirements. Part of this process involves selecting the vessel internals including lower lateral collectors, nozzles and upper distributors. It is important that media is not lost during the filtration and backwash process, hence we have numerous lateral options available.
Lower Collector Systems include:
- 200µm slotted lateral collectors for ion exchange resins and fine filter media.
- 300µm, 400µm and 500µm slotted lateral collectors for filter media such as AFM, DMI65, anthracite, filter coal, sand, zeolites, granular activated carbons and more.
- 200µm, 300µm and 500µm nozzle collectors for nozzle plate floor, suitable for air scour backwash.
- 400µm slotted lateral collectors for air scour backwash.
Upper Distributors include:
- 200µm slotted diffusers for ion exchange resins.
- Multiple diffusers for media filtration, GAC etc. Suitable for even distribution of raw water during service and efficient collection of backwash water during the backwash function.
- Upper central funnel for TSS removal filters.
We provide comprehensive design plans for both our standard and customised range, detailing the internal configurations, allowing our customers to enhance their understanding of the vessel’s functionality.
Design plans are particularly important when customising as it allows our customers to review and make any necessary changes before manufacturing and fit out begins. To further enhance customer’s experience, we provide 3D models to enable them to visualise how the vessels will fit perfectly into the project space.
In line with our QA goals, our team carefully fit out each vessel, subjecting them to a stringent QA checklist to ensure that both the vessel and its internals meet our high-quality standards. We also provide spare internal parts for servicing, ensuring that our customer’s filtration systems operate smoothly at all times.
With Glacier Filtration, all vessels will be delivered to site completely assembled with the internals as per the design plan, ready for installation.
